Burning Water
A couple of you were close! In the last post, I said "entitled to a hint" which was meant to call attention to the title "Return to the Source". Had you checked the source of the post, you might have noticed where the photos are being called from... www.longlostphotography.com

Answer: After over a year of on and off noodling during the occasional blips of free time, I have finally created a home for all the photography I have posted on LJ over the years, on which you have all kindly commented. Therefore, I would like to announce my new web site/photography portfolio:

I would very much like to hear back from you all if you would check out the site and leave me feedback. There is a contact form on the site. And thank you to everyone who has given me encouragement and feedback on photos all this time!

Hi Alex --- the site looks gorgeous! Sorry I didn't play earlier, was a bit confused about what was going on (not due to your site, but due to brain fogginess).

Thanks Nanne! No worries about the fogginess, understood. Very glad a fellow artist approves of the site!

Very engaging and well put together I think.
You asked.
I love the photography. Nice work.

Thanks Ilene. :) Good to get feedback, especially from someone who knows what they're talking about. I hope to update it with the cream of the crop moving forward. At some point, add a store, but I never expect that sort of thing to get much activity, realistically.

Your photography and your site are beautiful. Like Minnie, you have an eye for composition, color and storytelling. Your site is well designed--clean, classy, easy to navigate, pretty to look at. I like the pop up boxes with text when you hover over a photo before clicking on it. I like the recently viewed photos area. It's all easy on the eyes and on the mouse. Well done. :-)

The only problem I had just now when viewing your site is an error message from Internet Explorer: Cannot view site, operation aborted. But then sometimes when I click on "ok" it's ok--I can see the page, but sometimes sometimes it takes me to an entirely new error page and I have to refresh. I don't know if this error is happening because of my computer/internet provider, or if it's something to do with your site.

By the way, may I add you to my reading list? I'm a friend of Minnie's and have been wanting to add you for a long time but just haven't yet.

Hi Chamisa. Thank you *very* much for the detailed feedback. It is very useful and appreciated.
I have looked into the issue you are having a little bit and have found some information. It seems to be a browser (IE) specific thing, but I'm still trying to determine how to fix that. Are you on IE6 or IE7?
Absolutely you may add me. :)

You're welcome and thanks! :-)

And I'm on IE7.

Amazing photographs - Checked your page as well. Good if you have a recent link, by which people will get to see the latest additions, rather looping through the old ones !

Thank you. Hmm, that's a good idea. I was thinking about some news posting on the main page when I enter new images. Maybe I can have that link to the latest additions. Thanks for the feedback. :)
